Location:

A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.

The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.

Job Description:

To ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring all guests receive a fond farewell, using appropriate procedures, providing extraordinary customer service in accordance with Omni standards.

Kyndred Hearth Restaurant Position – Friday and Saturday availability is a must

Responsibilities:

Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service utilizing the “5-15” rule. 15 feet away non-verbal greeting, 5 feet away verbal greeting.

Seat guests using Open Table software, ensuring server rotation on seating, pulling out chairs, placing clean menu in front of guest and letting the guest know who their server will be.

Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the outlet to support Omni’s Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.

Answer the phone upbeat and positive, take reservations and answer guest inquiries.

Control the pace of the restaurant through reservation times and seating.

Assign server sections, ensuring servers work different sections daily.

Take To-Go order and give them to the bartenders, when IDR/TO-Go is activated transfer the call to the proper individuals.

Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and wellbeing of guests.

Assist servers and managers when needed.

Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.

Notify Managers and servers of VIP’s and guest notes or issues.

Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.

Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Prior host experience preferred

Must be able to multitask

Must consistently demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be teamwork-oriented, and exhibit a positive attitude.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.

Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Working Environment:

Interior of restaurant kitchen and designated bar area, with occasional travel around the property as needed.

Exposure to a kitchen environment with high temperatures.

Exterior of Hotel with exposure to weather conditions.

Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.

Exposure to food items and beverages.
